This Privacy Policy explains how Hugh Gunn / The Leaderment Codex (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal data in connection with the website at https://hughgunn.com/ and the Leaderment Codex platform.
1. Who we are
The data controller is Hugh Gunn, trading as The Leaderment Codex. Contact: via the Contact page.
2. What data we collect
- Account data — email address, display name, when you register or sign in.
- Assessment data — your responses to the Leadership Self-Assessment (22 variable scores), computed equation outputs, and your Leaderment Score. This is stored against your account if you choose to save it.
- Boss Assessment data — scores you submit for a named individual, stored privately in your account and only shared if you use the share link.
- Partner data — if you apply as a partner: company name, contact name, email address, territory, and your stated intended use.
- Client assessment data — if you are a partner and send an assessment invitation, we store the client’s name and email address, and their assessment results once completed.
- Usage data — standard web server logs and, with your consent, analytics cookies via Google Analytics (Google Site Kit).
3. Legal basis for processing
- Contract performance — to provide the assessment and scoring services you have requested.
- Legitimate interests — to maintain the security and integrity of the platform, and to improve the service.
- Consent — for analytics cookies, which are only set after you accept via the cookie notice.
4. How we use your data
We use your data to: provide and operate the Leaderment Codex platform; save and display your assessment results; enable partners to send assessments to clients and track completion; communicate with you about your account; and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for automated decision-making that has legal or significant effects.
5. Who we share data with
- Hosting provider — our web host processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
- Google Analytics — with your consent, anonymised usage data is sent to Google Analytics. You can opt out at any time via the cookie settings.
- Partners — if a partner has sent you an assessment invitation, they can see your name, email address, and completed assessment results. The partner is the data controller for that processing.
We do not share data with any other third parties except where required by law.
6. Retention
Assessment data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us. Partner client data is retained for as long as the partner relationship is active, or for 24 months from the date of the assessment, whichever is shorter.
7. Your rights (UK GDPR)
You have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion; restrict or object to processing; and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the Contact page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified via the website. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
