The Leaderment Codex

13 Equations of Effective Power, Leadership, and Management

Most leadership books are written by people who have never been responsible for anything that could sink, explode or catch fire.

This book is for you if:

  • You’ve done the courses and none of it stuck.
  • You think analytically and distrust buzzwords that mean nothing.
  • You’ve watched someone fail upward.
  • You’ve been hired to lead but expected to manage.
  • You’ve been given the title but not the resources.
  • You’ve been passed over and don’t know why.
  • You teach leadership or manage leaders.
  • You wonder why Mr Charisma has just been promoted when you can do better.

The 13 Equations of Effective Power

13 equations built from 22 variables — from Chaos and Administrative Impotence to Trust, Authority, and Effective Power. A mathematical model for what leadership actually produces.

The 22 Variables of Leadership

Every leader scored across 22 variables and multiple career phases. Filter by domain, era, and band. Churchill, Mandela, Jobs, Capone — the equations do not distinguish.

About Hugh Gunn

Hugh Gunn spent 14 years in the Royal Navy — one of very few people to begin as a mechanic and reach commissioned engineering officer rank. Twenty years in IT followed, ending as VP Sales EMEA. He then founded his own business.

The Leaderment Codex is the product of that career — forty-four years of watching leaders succeed and fail under pressure, distilled into a mathematical framework that names what most leadership writing only gestures at.
